One thing my journey has taught me is that behind every HR problem, there isn’t a policy gap – it’s a people one!
My dedication to changing broken HR systems began with a deeply personal experience early in my career.
In 2008, I was working in the finance sector when my father passed away unexpectedly. I was devastated, and yet was asked if I’d be returning to work the next day. It changed everything. Today, it still drives my commitment to do things differently because people deserve better.
I started over. I took an admin role in HR, began my Postgraduate in HR Management, and rebuilt my career. It was a leap backwards to leap forward. I quickly found my voice in the spaces that many shy away from; the messy middle of leadership, culture, and people problems that don’t have neat answers.
Supporting teams worldwide, whilst in my role at Etihad Airways, gave me a truly global perspective. One that shaped my ability to work effectively across cultures, industries, and complex leadership levels. Across each challenge, one truth remained – real HR starts with humans.
